Scott Nelson

Scott has been in the flooring business for 50 years and loves to help his customers find products that are right for them. In addition to sales, he has 10 years of experience in floor installations, so he knows every level of the industry. In his free time, Scott likes to fish and work on his property on Mt. Pleasant. He also enjoys golfing and hunting when he has time.

Joseph Blair

Joseph has worked in sales, services, and as a store manager at Columbia River Carpet One for years. He’s enjoyed growing the 54-year-old business and providing attentive service to customers and staff. He provides design solutions and recommendations, along with customer service to store clients. Joseph has always loved design and art, and enjoys providing interior design insight to help customers build their dream space. In his spare time, Joseph likes to change the design and flow of his home. He also loves to landscape, and is currently restocking his Koi pond. He believes it’s important that your home reflects who you are.

Jonathan Ussery

Jonathan has been working in sales since he was a teenager and enjoys taking time to get to know clients and their needs. He works as a sales representative and always makes sure the first thing his customers experience is a warm welcome. He’s also committed to giving honest and open answers so you get exactly what you want and need for your home. Jonathan began working as a sales associate and customer service agent at the age of 20, and was awarded top rep for two years in a row. He also had the privilege of answering calls for donations during the 9-11 crisis. In his free time, Jonathan loves to fish and spend time with his five children.

Dan McDonald

Dan began installing floors as a teenager with his father. He now has over 40 years of experience with installation and flooring sales. He’s designed, sold, and installed hundreds of custom showers, backsplashes, accent walls, and floors all over the Northwest. Dan also has training and certifications in floor insurance, product knowledge, 20/20 cabinet design, lead abatement, and Hunter Douglas window blinds. His experience in installation enables him to recognize potential problems that may arise and avoid them. Dan enjoys volunteering in his free time for organizations like PTO and his local church. He also races dirt bikes at Rivercity Speedway in St. Helens.

Cheryl Kingston

Cheryl chose to work at Columbia River Carpet One because of its hometown feeling. She grew up in Columbia County and enjoys having a job that allows her to give back to neighbors, friends, family, and her community in general. As a receptionist, Cheryl is the first face you’ll see when you visit us. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and also has learned a lot through her life experiences raising a family, attending college, working, and through Americorp. When she isn’t working, Cheryl likes to relax at home, spend time with her children, take her dog to the park, sew, quilt, and go to the beach.
